just something noteworthy from this session . . . i did the whole warrior progression without having to rest by either straightening my front leg or rest an arm on the ground.  and that’s for both legs.  and i was slow and methodical for each pose.  party on.

it’s actually sunny today.  i’m gonna have to start doing yoga outside in the mornings.

hit the hips and groin hard today.  i think i spent about half the session concentrating on various stretches there.

think i’m gonna hit a run here in a bit . . . weather.com says its 43 out, so i might go in shorts.  sunset’s at 5:19, so i’ll prob depart around 5.  hit an easy 4, then maybe do some yoga afterwards if the tv’s open.  then the jackets game at 9 tonight.  maybe 4 shutouts in a row for mason?

good tonight.  i really want to focus on my hip and lower back flexibility most of all.  my legs felt weak and sore from last night, now they just feel sore :-P

i’ve realized that i don’t really want to be a competitive runner.  i do want to be the best and fastest runner that i can be, but i want to do it to bring peace to myself.  the only time that i really feel sane is when i run.  it’s what i do when i need to really think about something and come up with a good, solid course of action.

so this year, i’m going to commit myself to just running.  not setting any time goals, or distance goals.  just working on constantly improving myself while staying injury-free.  and increasing my flexibility and keeping my weight down.

i love how anytime i mention the word ‘yoga’ in a post, i get pinged for it.  makes me feel popular.

my flexibility was just as good as last night and a little better.  it’s quite amazing.  running tomorrow.  i jogged a couple steps tonight, and there was no pain.  party!
