5 tonight

ran again!  hooray.  no pain still.  all day, i didn’t think i was gonna run.  then i realized, for some reason, that today was the perfect day to run.  i don’t know why.  but it was true!  more or less :-P  today is always the perfect day to run.

i’m running, these days, carefully keeping any goals out of my mind.  just trying to enjoy myself and burn some calories.  i don’t know what track i want to take next season.  there are lots of good triathlons around here, so i could go there… or i could go with aiming for 10Ks… or a mix of 10k’s and halfs… or save all the racing for the fall.  so many ways to go.  i know for sure that i’m totally committed to keeping myself injury-free.  MTSS has cost me so much time, and i’d rather go easier on myself and stay healthy than go hard, achieve more, and get hurt.

looks like i’m gonna be just shy of 1000 miles this year.  i don’t really care for numbers, but that’s pretty cool.  especially since i didn’t really start till mid-april.

and it’s time to shower… maybe i’ll have something to eat.  i kinda forgot to bring food to work today, so i ended up lunching out of the vending machine, something i haven’t done for nearly a year.  2 packs of donut sticks and 1 bag of TGI friday’s bacon potato chips.  so good.  but i wasn’t really satisfied after… just full.  kinda sad.  but it’s ok.
