back again

it’s been a loong time.  before i get to the stuff i came to talk about, i’d just like to note that the viewership of my blog has mysteriously shot up over the last 5 days.  it was interesting to come on here for the first time in a month or so and see close to 300 views :-P

anyhoo, since the marathon on 26 sept i’ve run… maybe 3 times, including today.  good news… no MTSS pain today at any point.  so it might be a good time to start again.  sunny, windy and 30 today.  i couldn’t breathe!!!  my lungs wouldn’t expand at all.  so i made myself run slow, which was probably good anyway.

why the hiatus?  i’ve been concentrating on studying computers… i’m just about done with the intense hardware and OS part, now i’m looking into the software side a little.  i’ve been putting everything into it, so i haven’t really had any time or interest in much else.  plus i just had a little clone of me come into the world, so he’s been taking up some of my time too, not to mention a lot of my sleep.  SPEAKING of sleep, that’s why i ran today.  i’ve been waking up at 11 on my days off, and i actually woke up at 10 today, so i figured i wouldn’t be spending any time that would have been used to do anything else.

my weight, surprisingly, has been staying very consistent, right around 156.  i think it’s because i don’t really eat much.  i wake up, go to work, come home… i eat a single small meal in the evening.  i actually don’t snack too much anymore, at work or otherwise.  it’s a good thing.

don’t know when the next race is.  i don’t know if i want to do marathons right now.  i’m thinking the half in cleveland in mid-may, perhaps.  definitely am doing the spirit of columbus next year… already declared it on facebook :-P

maybe triathlons?  i’m gaining more confidence in my shoulders… and i didn’t do any tris this year.  speaking of which, i need to ask guru what to do about my bottom bracket friction issue.  hopefully they’ll generously offer to do some work on it pro bono :-P

that’s about it… gym later.  till then, just more studying.
